For us, surfing is when science meets the art of a tranquil mind. We can't teach you the second, but we sure can teach you how to surf.
At Soul Temple, we are an intimate but inclusive multi national team whose main focus is on your surf progression. Our ISA-certified surf instructors have thousands of hours of teaching experience combined. Surfing is a way of life, and anyone who comes to Soul Temple is part of a kindred experience, grounded in an authentic love of surfing.
Our Journey
2016
Founded Soul Cafe
We opened a cafe with community at its core. With great coffee and a collective mindset; Soul Cafe is the bedrock on which Soul Temple was built.
2019
Surf School & Surf School
Our long held dream of a surf school with progress-focused, deeply detailed lessons for all levels was finally realised. The Soul Cafe became Soul Temple.
2022
Brewing Connections
We introduced a new level with Coffee Therapy to Soul Temple and dialled down our offering. Using only the highest grade coffee, our reputation as the south’s coasts go to for coffee was crystalised.
2024
Expansion
We are expanding our Surf School and opening a boutique hotel, with a high end surf store and coffee shop along the coast in Ahangama; a new Surf Experience.

We’re providing a new kind of Surf Experience on the South Coast - serving the highest quality coffee, showcasing incredible line-ups at our musical events and raising the bar for good vibes. Not only are we a Surf School, with our own half pipe, coffee shop, surf shop and yoga studio space, but we are a community. This is the place to come together, swap stories and meet local and international surfers, skaters and new friends.
