What does a lesson for beginners at Soul Temple Surf School involve?
For anyone new to surfing - we approach surfing from a technical perspective – our motto is surf smart and we aim to give a clear understanding of what you’re doing in the water.
- 2 hours with an ISA certified surf instructor. 1 instructor per group of up to 5 students.
- Surf theory & the theory of waves
- Video analysis; materials are included

Our surf school is located in a well loved surf spot on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Weligama bay is often described as a beginners spot, but intermediate surfers can also have a lot of fun at this mellow and easy going break. Consistent waves create perfect conditions for all levels.
With waves all year round, it’s a short paddle out to the Main point, The Island or Fisherman’s Reef for those looking to advance their practice.
